Multimedia Designer

**The Position**

We’re looking for a talented and self-motivated Multimedia Designer to join our Melbourne studio. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing team of creatives, delivering high-profile projects throughout Australia and internationally.

The role of Multimedia Designer includes assisting the team in the development of creative digital strategies and content, providing design support across a variety of media formats. You must be self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn, eager to take on new challenges with a positive attitude.

Maynard is a multi-disciplinary design practice with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, and London.

Together, our team provides a unique combination of design expertise spanning the disciplines of wayfinding, graphic and information design, and product design. We are focused on designing for people, the places they inhabit and the products and interactions that will improve their daily lives. We call it social design, and we work in many sectors from large transport and urban realm schemes through to more bespoke cultural projects and placemaking.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the creation of digital assets, including graphics, animations, video, and interactive content using multimedia software.
- Undertake project and user research, analysing data to provide high-level strategic advice on multimedia content and user engagement.
- Assist the team in the production and delivery of multimedia content, including graphics, animations, video editing, audio, and interactive experiences for various platforms.
- Assist in the creation of digital strategy, content planning, and design documentation for presentations.
- Manage your own time efficiently and work to project and internal deadlines.
- Support our other design disciplines in the form of research, content creation, and visual storytelling.
- Collaborate with other creative team members to co-ordinate and deliver successful multimedia projects.
- Contribute to the creation of prototypes, storyboards, and mockups for presentation and testing.
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities.
- Take an active part in attending and instigating company events and activities.
- Present multimedia concepts and prototypes to internal teams and clients.
- Assist in the creation, scheduling, and publishing of engaging multimedia content for the company’s social media platforms to enhance brand presence and audience engagement

**Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related design field.
- Proficiency in multimedia and graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, animation, and interactive design tools.
- Strong visual storytelling, sketching, and rendering skills.
- Basic understanding of digital media production, user-centered design, and content strategy.
- Fluent in English with great written, spoken, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects whilst managing your own workload, prioritising tasks and internal deadlines.
- Attention to detail and the ability to take constructive feedback.

**Reporting**
- Reports directly to our team of Associates, and relevant Project Leads.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
