An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
**Design Assistant** to join our Women's Apparel Design & Buying Team at Seed Heritage. This role will assist throughout the ranging & product development process by supporting the Womenswear team in all duties required to meet set deadlines and objectives.

**THE ROLE**:

- Sketch any new styles that are added in after buy meetings and throughout the season.
- Set up style numbers and file all relevant details for the relevant season
- Complete range boards for range meetings
- Preparation for range meetings and buy meetings, ensure samples, image references and mood board are ready
- Ensure all preparation for VM Handover meetings is completed prior to scheduled meetings.
- Sample maintenance
- Photograph, steam and hang all samples purchased overseas and locally
- Ordering & chasing seasonal Campaign & PR samples

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent (preferred)
- 1-2 years’ experience in a Design or Buying Assistant role or similar
- Prior Women’s Fashion Apparel experience (preferred)
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Understanding of graphic têxtile print also desirable
- Demonstrated hand sketching ability
- Proficient computer literacy skills including competency with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage time effectively
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure
- Be analytical, have excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
