**How will I help?**

Our team of expert UI Engineers enable hundreds of full stack developers across the bank to build delightful, accessible and consistent customer experiences by providing them with a world class UI framework. The Technical Lead will also act as a coach and educator for others in the team and the wider organisation. You need to be happy and willing to work in a variety of disciplines and should expect to get stuck in and lead by example - this is a hands-on role

Responsibilities of the role include:

- First and foremost, build great software
- Improve build processes, tooling & libraries to delight a large community of developers.
- Foster excellent team-dynamics to keep the team encouraged and motivated.
- Facilitate communication within and across teams and ensure stakeholders are kept updated.
- Identify and facilitate the removal of impediments.
- Working closely with others to build a vibrant technical community.

**What do I need?**
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Extensive experience of modern client-side single page app frameworks (Angular, React, Vue,..)
- Solid knowledge of GIT version control and JavaScript package managers (npm, yarn)
- Experience & understanding of the functional programming paradigm (pure functions, etc)
- Experience in at least one of the modern client-side single page app frameworks.
- Passionate about testing using things such as Jest/Jasmine unit testing frameworks & testing patterns in React.
