**About the Role**:
The Student Engagement Officer will be responsible for devising, implementing, and evaluating a range of student programs. SLAM programs aim to enrich student participation in life on campus and create an environment that will directly assist students in their transition to tertiary studies and retention in their course.
**Duties**:
- Plan and deliver a range of on-campus events / activities for student groups that assist in student engagement and retention.
- Work under broad direction from an agreed plan.
- Devise, plan, implement, evaluate, and report on student focused events. Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and resolve matters independently as they arise - and where necessary escalate to Team Leader.
- Develop and monitor communications and documentation to meet event timeframes.

**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in event / recreation management and/or community development or equivalent.
- Experience in the development, implementation and assessment of recreational activities and/or community development programs.
- Highly developed organizational skills including the ability to plan, prioritize, monitor and evaluate delivery of programs in an educational/community environment.
- Strong communication skills including excellent presentation skills, group facilitation, written, oral, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Ability to manage own workload and adopt flexible work practices as required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Anti

- A current Working With Children Check Card (Employee) - mandatory.
- A current National Police Check - mandatory.
