**The role**:
We are recruiting a National Facilities Manager who will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for facility management planning, operations, policy and service delivery across multiple sites in Allianz Australia, to achieve strategic planning objectives, specified project outcomes and continually improve performance.

This is very much a strategic role & we are looking for someone come in and set up a strategic framework for Facilities Management nationally. The role will also manage a team of Facilities Managers located regionally and report through to a General Manager Workplace Services.

**Responsibilities in the role**:

- Develop and lead a strategic framework and plan for the delivery of hard and soft services facility management across AAL sites incorporating a new service delivery model for facility management operations.
- Drive and oversee the performance of the facility management operations including, but not limited to, maintenance services, environmental and sustainability programs, safety, business risk and continuity management strategies.
- Develop and implement agreed performance goals, standards and KPIs to inform, capital and operational budgets.
- Develop reporting and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of facility management operations and asset management.
- Identify and manage risks associated with facility management operations, programs and assets performance and ensure risk mitigation where possible.
- Act as the primary escalation point for urgent, complex or highly sensitive operational issues, determining appropriate responses and the need for further escalation.
- Develop written policy, procedures, standards and process directions to effectively ensure compliance with probity, service delivery, environmental, Work Health and Safety (WHS) and other legislative requirements.
- Oversee the project management of national minor workplace reconfigurations,
- Ensure that all payments for goods and services are processed, allocated and recorded accurately and in accordance with AAL Finance requirements.
- Support the national development of the Property Strategy and lease renewal process, including the drafting of associated business cases.

**To be successful in the role**:

- You’ll have significant experience in a facilities management and people leadership role, within a complex, corporate matrixed organisation.
- Demonstrated expertise in contemporary facilities management practices, facilities operations, contracts management, health and safety practices in the workplace and in associated corporate communications.
- You’ll have demonstrated a strategic focus with prior experience in setting up or revamping/revising critical processes and establishing strategic frameworks for Facilities Management.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and management of project budgets, cost-modelling and in assessing and managing contracts of work.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with clients, intermediaries and service providers.
- Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of statutory legislation pertaining to facilities operations and in Workcover legislation.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity and provide pragmatic commercial solutions to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
