**About QIMR Berghofer**:
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Brain and Mental Health, Cancer, Infection and Inflammation and Population Health. Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.
**About the Administration Team**:
The Administration team provides professional reception services and administrative assistance across the entire organisation, including research and professional groups within QIMR Berghofer.
**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**:
We are looking for 2 x motivated individuals to join our small, close-knit administrative team.
The positions of Receptionist and Administration Officer will share similar duties; however, you will have the opportunity to preference the position that suits your skill-set and be your primary focus of responsibility.
**Receptionist**
- Primarily perform receptionist duties including managing calls, assisting visitors and ensuring smooth daily operations at our busy reception desk.
- Be part of the front-of-house team, providing a warm, professional welcome to all visitors while supporting our vital medical research efforts
- Will have the potential to be trained in administrative and back-office tasks in the future, providing flexibility and opportunities for growth within the role.
**Administration Officer**
- Primarily perform administration duties including data entry, word processing, scanning, collating and binding documents, issuing and reconciling CabCharge e-tickets and parking vouchers, ordering stationery and requesting quotes from suppliers
- Sort, redirect and deliver incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail
- Assist the Accounts Payable team by entering invoices into webGET
- Will be required to perform receptionist duties to cover breaks, leave and as and when required
**About You**:
- You have previous experience in a corporate reception, concierge or administrative role
- You are personable, well-organised and take pride in providing excellent customer service
- You possess strong communication skills and can work effectively with people at all levels
- You are adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities over time

**Remuneration**: These are full-time, permanent positions. The salary is AO2.8 which is $70,023 per annum, plus generous salary packaging and superannuation options.
