Our client has a long history in the Australian wine industry and has transformed their business model in recent years. They have a clear vision and are seeking a highly experienced National Sales Manager with extensive wine industry experience to help them achieve their ambitious goals. You bring current connections and a proven track record in driving revenue growth with Coles Liquor, ED and also the large independents and on premise groups.
Key responsibilities will include:
- driving business development activity including lead generation and developing strong customer relationships
- national account management activities including negotiation of trading terms, promotional activity and conducting regular business reviews with major customers to achieve sales growth
- recruiting, coaching and mentoring a team of sales representatives
- achieving company objectives by setting sales targets, analysing performance data and appropriate forecasting
- providing the sales team with the appropriate tools, processes and support to excel in their roles
Key to your success in this role will be your outstanding customer relationships across both on and off premise channels and your intimate knowledge of the industry in all facets, from production through to distribution. Whilst part of the senior leadership team, it is expected that you will be hands on and see the value of regularly being in the trade and in front of customers.
