What We're Looking For:
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute robust sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Take ownership of the full sales process – from lead generation through to closing and long-term relationship management.
- Work proactively to address issues early before they escalate, applying sound judgment in complex situations.
- Be follow-up driven and results-focused, ensuring execution happens on time, in full.
Sales Team Leadership
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to exceed targets.
- Provide mentoring, training, and coaching to team members to develop their skills and build capability.
- Foster a results-driven culture with clear KPIs and performance expectations.
Customer & Contract Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
- Confidently manage large customers and complex contracts, maintaining professionalism and strategic insight.
- Be willing and able to step in and get your hands dirty — negotiating national deals or stepping into key customer relationships when needed to win deals and support the team.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met and commercial objectives are achieved.
Strategic & Commercial Thinking
- Bring a strong strategic mindset to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
- Analyse sales performance, market data, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and initiatives.
- Provide input into forecasting, budgeting, and longer-term commercial planning.
- Strong commercial acumen is essential — understanding profitability levers and business drivers.
- Must be highly organised, process- and system-oriented, and focused on profitable, scalable growth.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline sales processes.
- Champion the use of technology, including CRM and other tools, to drive efficiency and data-led decision-making.
- Work the systems and processes and improve them to enable scale.
Reporting & Communication
- Contribute to board reports, delivering clear updates on sales performance, pipeline progress, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead weekly sales meetings and cross-functional leadership discussions.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key metrics, issues, and wins to senior management.
- Be able to both receive and deliver direct, constructive feedback in a high-performance culture.
- Operate as a true team player at the senior leadership team (SLT) level with a business-first mindset.
