**About the Role**:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated HR Officer to join our clients team for a 12 month fixed term contract to over a period of leave. In this stand-alone role, you will report directly to the Corporate Services Director and work alongside the leadership team and external HR consultants to deliver an exceptional employee experience. Your role will be pivotal in managing HR functions, supporting the employees, and ensuring HR practices align with the companies values and objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **HR Support**: Serve as the primary contact for all HR-related inquiries, providing comprehensive people management support.
- **Policy Development**: Create, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they meet current legislative and regulatory standards.
- **Employee Lifecycle Management**: Coordinate all stages of the employee lifecycle, offering guidance and support to managers on best practices for team management.
- **Health and Safety Initiatives**: Lead and enhance workplace health and safety and employee wellbeing programs.
- **HRIS Management**: Administer our HR Information System (Employment Hero), collaborating with Payroll to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- **Workforce Planning**: Assist with workforce planning, skills gap analysis, and performance development strategies.
- **Reporting**: Provide insightful HR metrics and reporting to the executive team to support strategic decision-making.

**About You**:

- **Experience**: A minimum of 3-4 years in a generalist HR role, with a strong understanding of employee lifecycle management and employee relations.
- **Skills**: Proven ability to develop and maintain HR policies in line with legislation, and strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in a health, education, or non-profit setting.
- **HRIS Proficiency**: Experience with HRIS systems (experience with Employment Hero is a plus).
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- **Checks**: Valid Working with Children Check and the ability to pass a National Police Check.

**Desirable**:

- **HRIS Experience**: Familiarity with Employment Hero Payroll and Microsoft Office Suite.
- **HR Qualifications**: Relevant HR qualifications or similar.
