The Australia Operational Risk & Compliance team sits within Australia Retail & Commercial Risk and provides an active business partnership to embed and manage the ANZ Risk Framework within Australia in a way that meets the division’s strategic objectives.

**Role Type**: 10 month secondment
**Role Location**: 833 Collins Street Docklands VIC 3008
**Work Hours**: 40 hours
What will your day look like?
Review and Challenge of I.AM framework activities, supported by actionable insights and advise, including:
adequacy of control environment to mitigate risks and meet policy requirement/s within Risk Appetite, both individually and in aggregate;
appropriateness of Treatments and actions to address Risk Response;
assessment of risk exposures and their incorporation in strategic planning discussions and management decision-making;
adequacy of management’s assessment and response to Operational Risk Scenarios; and
adequacy of response to reportable events.
Participate in Business forums such as risk assessment workshops, to provide insight and advice, ensuring appropriate consideration of operational risk and compliance matters.
**Event Management**: Identify potential regulatory breaches and inform Regulatory Relationship Owner delegates to enable timely regulator notification, excluding those where this accountability sits with the Business, e.g., Tax, OH&S, CPS234.
Assist the broader team to identify potential compliance insights/ issues through monitoring of risk profiles, operational risk and compliance incidents, audit findings, customer complaints, control testing results, etc.
Identification and analysis of risk data to support risk-based decision making.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence/ negotiate change using an adaptable influencing style.
- Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional/ risk-based manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Business Report Writing.
- Knowledge of banking instruments, products, and processes.
- Understanding of Risk Management Principles and demonstrated experience in Risk Management.
- Extensive experience in Operational risk and/or Compliance or related disciplines including risk management systems and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn on the job.
- A growth mindset and desire to continually learn and share new techniques and ideas.
