**The opportunity**
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and joining a close knit, high performing and collaborative team made up of HR generalists and specialists across recruitment, early careers, learning, payroll, remuneration and D&I.

Working across the four Australian offices, we are seeking a driven and motivated **HR Coordinator** based in Sydney in this full-time permanent role.
**Key responsibilities and objectives**
HR Support
- Support the HR Operations team in the delivery of our people services
- Be the first port of call for information and advice in response to enquiries regarding the firm's policies and procedures.
People Movements
- Manage the onboarding process in conjunction with the recruitment team to ensure all new joiners have a smooth and positive onboarding experience.
- Manage the off-boarding process in conjunction with Finance, Facilities and IT including exit interviews
- Prepare secondment letters and coordinate with Finance to ensure the secondment is set up correctly
- Liaise with our Salary Continuance provider and our Payroll Manager to process any claims
- Liaise with the HR Business Partners/HR Advisor and other relevant departments (i.e., IT, office services, Payroll) to ensure movements are delivered in an efficient manner.
General Administration
- Ownership of HR data by ensuring accurate employee records in MyWorklife (our HRIS system) and our electronic employee files
- Assist with the co-ordination and administration of annual HR programs (e.g. promotions, performance and remuneration, Summer Clerk and Graduate Programs)
- When required, assist the Recruitment team with administering the recruitment system, CV Mail, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, reference checking
- Assist the Payroll Manager when required
- Maintain practising certificates for all legal practitioners including annual renewals, as well as answering any queries on practising certificates and liaising with the relevant legal practice board in each state
- Prepare HR reports as requested
- Maintain and answer any queries in the general HR inbox.
**Essential skills and experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent (essential)
- Open to graduates but ideally you will have a minimum of 6 months experience in a comparable role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- The ability to work collaboratively and to develop strong and positive working relationships with colleagues across the firm
- High level of customer service skills
- Fantastic organisational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail.
