Our client is a prominent hospitality management group who manage an impressive portfolio of iconic hospitality and event venues in and around Sydney's CBD, many of which have undergone multi-million-dollar facelifts in recent years.

**The role**:
- Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for the development of new business relationships as well as growing existing client accounts, driving revenue from group bookings, private events and exclusive venue hire across the group's portfolio of award-winning hospitality and event venues
- Identify prospective new clients and opportunities for brand partnerships
- Host famil tours, business lunches and develop creative methods to showcase the company’s portfolio of unique venues and event spaces
- Work closely with the Marketing Director to plan and formulate annual marketing activity and promotions
- Represent the company at industry networking events and trade fairs
- Lead regular sales team meetings and play a lead role is developing sales team process and performance
- Effectively manage key internal relationships with Event Sales Team, Marketing, Venue Managers, FOH teams, Chefs & Kitchen Teams
- You will have previous experience in a proactive sales/key account management role in the hospitality/events industry
- Adept with chasing and creating business leads through general tele sales, e-marketing and face-to-face meetings
- Proven ability to reach targets and deliver results in line with budgets and forecasts
- Sales team leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities
- Display a passion for the hospitality industry including an understanding of modern food, wine and service trends
- Confident with hosting client events aimed at promoting and cross selling the company’s venue offerings
- High standards of presentation with excellent interpersonal, admin, IT and all-round organisational skills
- Knowledge and proven experience in hospitality/event catering operations is advantageous
- Above all, you are comfortable describing yourself as self-motivated and proactive in all areas of work
