**The Role**
The primary responsibility of the RAAF Base Amberley 23 Squadron Visits OIC is the coordination and delivery of support to Events and AMB Base Visits.
Duties include:
- Liaise with, build and sustain relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Raise detailed administrative requirements and programs for AMB Visits and events.
- Supervise and mentor subordinate personnel (SERCAT5, 6 & 7) including their professional development.
- Provide guidance on protocol and ceremonial support for VVIP and VIP Visits and key Events.
- Attend the bi-monthly Base Management Forum and provide update brief on all significant AMB Visits and Events.
**About our Team**
23 Squadron is part of Air Force's Combat Support Group. Located at RAAF Base Amberley, it's function is to enable airbase operations. Key components of 23 SQN include but are not limited to, Air Base Logistics, Air and Ground Movements, Airbase Operations, Personnel Capability, Aerodrome Management and Base Security.
The AMB Visits OIC sits under Operations Flight. The Visits Cell is responsible for delivering the administrative oversight and coordination of efforts for visits to RAAF Base Amberley. The AMB Visits and Events team is the first POC and coordinator for all base visits for RAAF Base AMB. Their mission is to liaise between our Defence stakeholders and local community.
Roles and functions of Visits Cell include:
- Planning, promoting and smooth running of any given event.
- Assessing risks and developing a plan.
- Controlling access and Base clearances.
- Managing administration processes and logístical needs.
- Organising transport and escorts.
- Informing and staying informed.
