**The Role**
Transition Coaching and Support is seeking a Transition Centre Manager at the APS 5 level based in Amberley and providing outreach services to bases throughout South Queensland. The Transition Centre Manager oversees the delivery of the needs based Defence Force Transition Program.
They will be responsible for leading APS, ADF and contracted staff to provide transition and career coaching services to transitioning Defence members.
Responsibilities include staff management and conducting transition coaching sessions inclusive of complex cases. Liaison with key stakeholders including Command, ADF members and families are a key role of the position.
The Transition Centre Manager will work with the Seminar Team to coordinate delivery of local ADF Member and Family Transition Seminars (face to face) and coordinate contribution to the virtual offerings. The position reports to the Transition Coaching & Support Regional Lead for Queensland).
**About our Team**
Transition Coaching and Support as part of the Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) branch delivers Defence’s ADF transition programs. These programs are designed to support members and their families to plan for civilian life.
Participation in the transition process is mandatory for all ADF members regardless of the reason for leaving. The Defence Force Transition Program provides access to specialist advice, paid leave and training to support members and their families in their transition to civilian life. Access to the needs based programs is supported by transition coaches.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills in order to assure the team delivers high quality transition coaching services,
- A proven ability to effectively communicate using written, verbal and technological mediums,
- The ability to coordinate and undertake broad ranging stakeholder engagement.
