**Donor Relations Officer**

**Role Summary**

The Donor Relations Officer is responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating a comprehensive donor relations and stewardship program that promotes, acknowledges and connects donors with the impact of their support.

This role will suit an individual with strong technical writing and editing skills, highly capable in communicating varying content to different audiences. You will demonstrate creativity, inspired to think outside of the box to determine new ways of reporting impact to donors. Confidence, empathy and the ability to relate to different types of people will also be important.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop regular stewardship communications and newsletters, including annual stewardship reports for major gifts
- Collaborate with the team to plan and implement all major donor recognition events
- Assist in the creation of capital naming proposals and manage the stewardship of named funds
- With the Development Manager, create and oversee maintenance of policies and procedures for all stewardship functions, including the maintenance of donor walls and plaques, donor societies and relevant communications
- Connect donors with fund recipients as much as possible through an engagement strategy and organise thank you cards, letters, etc. as appropriate.
- Create content for donor stewardship purposes which includes producing engaging, high quality graphic design and video content

**Skills & Attributes**
- Demonstrated experience in a fundraising or relationship development related role
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Ability to write copy to deadlines and adapt writing style and tone to different audiences
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- High emotional intelligence and empathy
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to think creatively and work in a fast paced environment
- Interest in working in the Not-For-Profit sector
- Experience with video production and familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and InDesign is desirable
