About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital. It is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

RPA Endocrinology and Metabolism Centre is a very busy clinical unit. It provided 6,100 Statewide tertiary endocrine services in 2019 delivered by a multidisciplinary team of health providers. The Administration Officer will provide extensive administration and clerical support to ensure the smooth day to day functioning of this Department.

Typically, the Level 2 Officer performs reception duties, including greeting and registering patients, answering phone calls and email enquiries, filing, making appointments, and checking in patients for all Endocrine clinics and services (General Endocrine, Thyroid Clinic, Bone Clinic, Antenatal Thyroid Clinic, BMD, Endocrine Dynamic Tests). They also assist the Level 4 administrative staff to ensure that patient check-in details are addressed promptly.

Ideal Candidate

• Ability to comprehend the need for accuracy in all documentation related to clinic bookings and patient registration.
• Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a team as well as the ability to work unsupervised.
