• Base Salary (HEO5) $89,755 - $100, % superannuation

The School of Art, Communication and English (SACE) is nationally and internationally recognised for its research strengths. The School combines six scholarly and creative disciplines  - Art History, English and Writing, Film, Media and Communication, Theatre and Performance, and the Sydney College of Art - to form one of Australia's most vibrant schools of the arts and humanities.

We are seeking a Teaching and Curriculum Officer to join the team to provide a broad range of administrative support in the development and delivery of teaching and curriculum activities across the school.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• deliver administrative support for teaching activities including result processing, prize and scholarship award, room bookings and enquiries management using University, Faculty and School system platforms

• assist with coordination of the school's curriculum information on the University's online systems as well as the School's web pages, intranet and publications

• support the School and Disciplinary coordinators, and related School committees, preparing agendas, taking minutes, keeping accurate records and following-up any actions

• liaise with relevant Faculty and central PSU to establish effective working relationships in relation to case or issue management.

About you

• previous experience in the higher education/tertiary sector and working knowledge of student academic activities

• excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) and experience operating with large, corporate-level database and information systems

• ability to problem solve, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, achieve required outcomes and attention to detail

• effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement.
