**About the role**

An exciting opportunity for a Workshop Manager to join our growing team

This role will be responsible for managing the profitable and timely movement, repair and maintenance of containers through the Container Park, meeting operational needs while remaining cost effective.

This role will also manage all empty container surveys that come through the Container Parks and ensure business requirements are met.

**The key roles and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to**:
Repair Management
- Ensure the repair bay runs efficiently in a timely and profitable manner
- Ensure containers are being washed and repaired to customer standards
- Effectively communicate with Operations Planning Supervisor regarding resources to ensure that maintenance requests are prioritised appropriately to meet business needs and stakeholders’ expectations
- Manage teams and internal resources to allow for response to requests for repairs without disruption to our customers
- Maintain control of stock/supplies in store
- Assist in the capture of financial maintenance data against work orders
- Inspect containers and certify them for export

Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, direction and training for all direct reports
- Directly supervise employees and observe team members to ensure that all are adequately trained and assessed as competent to safely perform their respective duties
- Manage Repairer roster to ensure coverage to meet operational requirements

Survey
- Ensure Surveyors are meeting KPIs
- Ensure Surveyors are aware of all customer requirements
- Manage Surveyor rosters to ensure coverage where required

Contractor Management
- Oversight of all Repair Contractors on site to ensure safety procedures are followed and work is being completed as per Company direction
- Audit quality of contractor repairs

**About you**
- Related trade qualification - welding or Engineering experience advantageous but not required
- IICL and DPI Certificate advantageous
- 2.6 Certificate advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in surveying and workshop
- Strong Containerchain Work Order module understanding
- Team leadership experience
- Experience using shipping line systems
