Workshop Leading Hand - Earthmoving Machinery. Permanent workshop position with company car.

Our client is an established business located in Melbourne’s South East, they have grown to be the largest heavy equipment distributer across Oceania and provide a diverse range of services. Specialising in a variety of different new and used machinery, they are constantly busy and are seeking the next member of their team to join and grow with the company.

**Your new role**

As a workshop leading hand, you will be required to.
- Manage your sections activities to ensure the effective and efficient service to internal and external customers
- Ensure that acceptable work standards are being maintained
- Allocation of work to Technicians and Trades Assistants
- Provide Technical support
- Ensure all workshop equipment is maintained and OHS standards are adhered to
- Follow and enforce workshop policies and procedures
- Liaising with external and internal customers over the phone and diagnosing faults
- Support workshop and field staff when needed

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Trade Qualified Level 3 Certification in your specific Diesel Automotive Field (Heavy preferred) with 5 years minimum experience
- Sound leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working on earthmoving equipment is essential
- HR Licence
- Ability to work independently and also as a part of a team
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Industry supporting references
