Your new company A well-established organisation in the technology and logistics space is seeking a proactive and reliable Workshop Technician to manage the day-to-day operations of its technical workshop. Based in Prahran, this role offers stable hours, a supportive team, and the chance to make a real impact.

Your new role

Reporting to the Engineering Team Lead, you'll be responsible for overseeing workshop operations, managing stock and deliveries, coordinating hardware setups and deployments, and ensuring the workspace remains tidy and compliant with safety standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing workshop cleanliness, organisation, and readiness
  • Receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring accuracy and proper labelling
  • Entering stock into internal systems and maintaining inventory records
  • Coordinating hardware setups, repairs, and deployments
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to schedule installations
  • Tracking loan stock and tools, ensuring accountability and returns
  • Supporting procurement and configuration of hardware
  • Maintaining OHS standards and workshop tools
  • Providing professional customer service via phone and email
  • Logging service requests and documenting interactions in CRM
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 3 years' experience managing a workshop or logistics environment
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role (2+ years)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • A current driving licence (essential)
  • Experience in a service desk or MSP environment (desirable but not essential)
