**About the role**

Uniting seeks Mental Health Specialist - Psychologist to work at Uniting on a full time permanent basis. Join one of Australia’s leading residential aged care service providers for a career filled with heart and purpose. We’d love to hear from you.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Operate as a Subject Matter Expert in the mental health specialist role, providing expert consulting and advisory services to Service Delivery teams
- Guide and influence the process of policy and practice improvement in your area/s of specialisation.
- Partner with Uniting Recovery and external organisations such as Older Persons Mental Health, in the design and delivery of programs that build capability and capacity of service teams.
- Access current evidence-based guidance and knowledge ensure it is aligned with the Mental Health framework and utilise this to inform all activities in the role
- Ensuring services are delivered from an enablement perspective, empowering consumers to take an active role in directing their own care and services

**What we’re looking for**
- This is a management role typically requiring 5 or more years’ experience, including two or more years’ experience supervising a small team of specialists. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organised, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined.
- Psychologist registered with AHPRA
- Professional membership with the Psychology Board of Australia
