Practice Specialist, Continuous Practice Improvement

Barnardos Australia is seeking a dedicated Practice Specialist to join our Practice Quality team. This is a full time 12month contract opportunity to be part of a values-led organisation committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and families.
Location negotiable to work across Barnardos offices in NSW and ACT.
About the RoleAs a Practice Specialist, you will:
- Support the implementation and embedding of the Outcomes Framework, including implementation planning, building outcomes literacy and translation into practice.
- Support the implementation, review and measurement of the Barnardos Practice Model (Practice Framework, Outcomes Framework and B-HIVE [case management platform].
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Safe and Together Model.
- Management of multiple projects including the development, implementation, execution and measurement of projects.
- Develop and build on Barnardos practice, knowledge, and skills and how this supports better outcomes for children, young people and their families who experience adversity.
- Contribute to content curation and delivery of Practice Quality training/workshops to ensure program employees are supported in their professional knowledge, quality standards and ongoing development.
You'll join a collaborative and supportive team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services that uphold child safety, cultural safety, and family-led practice.
Skills and Experience :
- Relevant qualifications (Social Work, Social Science, Psychology) or equivalent level of experience.
- Strong understanding of child protection issues and the impacts of trauma on children and young people.
- At least 4 years of direct work experience within the social care sector, predominately with children, young people and families.
- Strong skills in identifying risks and opportunities that will safeguard Barnardos practice future.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detailed understanding of project management, including planning, researching, developing, consulting, executing and measuring success.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, including a strong understanding of cultural safety, self-determination, and the historical and contemporary factors that impact Aboriginal peoples.
What's on Offer:
- Base salary: $100,797 per annum (pro rata, if applicable) + 12% superannuation.
- Salary packaging: Up to $15,860 tax-free (general living expenses)
- Meal & entertainment packaging: Additional $2,650 tax-free per FBT year
