Our Design & Construction team at Scentre Group is responsible for the end-to-end process from concept to delivery of our Westfield living centres. An integral part of this is the extensions and upgrades to existing centres. We develop and deliver designs that reflect the Westfield experience and latest thinking while optimising costs and providing speed to market that exceeds the best achievable by alternate delivery methodologies.
**Your opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join the Australian Construction team for the extension and upgrade of one of our premier assets in Sydney. The project will encompass the delivery of mixed-use retail, an exciting dining leisure and entertainment precinct and brand-new commercial spaces. The new precinct will create a place for the local community to gather, socialise, dine, play and relax from day to night.
The key purpose of a Document Controller is to administrator and own the online documentation system (Aconex) for D&C, including set up of projects to suit the entire project process, uploading of documents, monitoring and updating processes, workflows and protocols to optimise the documentations systems.
**Your key accountabilities**
- Ability to engage with both internal and external teams to understand, define and determine acceptable processes and systems to be adopted for each project
- Clearly communicate and present agreed processes and systems to the team
- Continually audits & maintains the online documentation system;
- Take responsibility for defining and managing standards for document controls, processes and systems for all projects from DA ensuring compliance with project and document control standards
- Implement document controls on new projects including requirements gathering, systems / process design and configuration, document controls plan and design drawing register
- Receive, record, distribute and file all technical documentation, principally incoming and outgoing contractual documents including but not limited to services briefs, drawings including shop drawings and registered samples, reports, schedules, registers, specifications, transmittals, presentations and their associated forms of transmission
