About the Office of the Solicitor-General
The Solicitor-General is the Victorian Government's most senior legal advocate and advisor. The Solicitor-General provides advice to the government on high-level legal matters and appears in court in all jurisdictions as senior counsel on behalf of the State.
About the Role
An exciting on-going opportunity as Executive Assistant to the Solicitor-General of Victoria.
The Executive Assistant provides secretarial support, schedule/diary management and the development and maintenance of office management and information systems for the Office of the Solicitor-General. As a key support to the Solicitor-General, you will ensure the smooth running of the Office and will need a solid working knowledge of public sector administrative processes and practices.
The primary work location is in the Owen Dixon Chambers at Lonsdale Street, Melbourne CBD with flexibility to work from home one-two days a week.
About You
**To be successful you will have**:
- Proven ability to provide high-level legal secretarial services and confidential services.
- Extensive experience using the Microsoft office suite, particularly Microsoft Word.
- Experience at handling large volumes of confidential information.
- Demonstrated experience in managing library resources (especially a law library) would be valuable but not mandatory.
Experience with paralegal and legal research tasks would also be valuable but is not mandatory.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned office administrator available to commence immediately.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
**Acceptable evidence includes**:
- COVID-19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
- Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
