**The Role**
Key responsibilities and expectations for the APS6 Contract Manager role include:

- Oversee and manage capability (complex) contracts for the F/A-18F and EA-18G aircraft in support of Air Combat (Air Force) objectives and broader Defence outcomes.
- Monitor and manage contract administration, performance and risks against the contract and contribute to appropriate action.
- Develop and deliver procurement related documentation including templates, schedule, correspondence, reports, submissions, plans and strategies, risk and performance reviews, contract change proposals and other contract management documentation.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Manage a small team of contract and commercial specialists.
- Provide contemporary commercial policy expertise/advice to internal and external stakeholders.

The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace. Applicants engaged into a BDCP position must consider the following. BDCPs provide remuneration in addition to the Defence Enterprise Agreement (EA).

**About our Team**
Located at RAAF Base Amberley, near Ipswich in QLD, Air Combat Electronic Attack Systems Program Office (ACEASPO), in close collaboration with Industry, is responsible for the in-service sustainment support and upgrades of the Air Force's F/A-18F and EA-18G fast jets. You will join a dynamic Enterprise, working collaboratively in an integrated Military/Australian Public Service workforce with Industry Partners and Air Force, to directly support and deliver vital Defence capability. The APS6 Contract Manager performs a critical role within the ACEASPO Enabling Services Management Unit. This team directly contributes to the effective and efficient development and management of contemporary commercial arrangements that deliver the capability requirements sought by Air Force, and ensure value for money for the Commonwealth.

Operating in an environment of best practice contemporary thinking, ensuring compliance with legislation and Defence policy, the Enabling Service commercial team comprises highly dedicated and experienced individuals who come together to learn from each other and achieve high quality commercial outcomes for Air Force.
