**Job Brief**:
Events and Business Development role will be responsible for all aspects before, during and after an event. The goal is to organise unforgettable events that will ensure the entertainment of customers and facilitate the completion of business objectives.

**The Events and Business development role will be need to able to demonstrate the following characteristics and skills**:

- The ability to build rapport with customers and suppliers
- Excellent communication and personal presentation
- Great time management skills including responding to all event enquiries in a timely manner
- Strong customer service focus
- Superior organisational and prioritising skills
- Maintain professionalism at all times

**The main role and lists of responsibilities that will be required**:
Note: (not limited to the below)
- Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced functions and fine dining environments
- Hands on operation of events for the restaurant group
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills with your Operations Manager, Marketing Manager and Owner
- Maintain a customer focus at all times, responding to feedback positively and proactively
- Execution and delivery of the Functions including staff management during the event
- End-to-end customer management during the execution of the function
- Follow OHS, safe work procedures, policies and practices
- A keen eye for detail and quality presentation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand requirements for each event
- Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
- Book venues
- Research/Communicate with Marketing Manager for all catering / menus, (decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
- Negotiate with clients to achieve the most favorable terms
- Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.) with approval from marketing manager
- Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. food, tables, staff, technology etc ) to ensure everything meets the standards of the restaurant group.
- Be present and efficient at all organised functions (or to the best of availability) and act quickly to resolve problems
- Evaluate event’s success and submit reports back to management
- To Communicate effectively what is required from us as a Company to be able to be able to fulfil this role to the best of his/her ability and the best interests of the the restaurant group
- Access to the cloud for set menus, imagery etc
- Access to Fork
- Bi-Weekly meetings with marketing team
- Access to booking
- The Events and Business Development role will also need to hold weekly / fortnightly or monthly meetings with RMs (depending on the number of functions) to ensure that each event is meeting the requirements of the customers and RMs
- As the role develops then so will the need to have KPIs introduced and or budgets given
- Set budgets to average spend, exclusive use etc
- The Events and Business Development role needs to be made available to all Venues.

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
