**Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To**
- Prospect, nurture, and close quality accounts to meet and/or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Track sales-qualified leads, accurately forecast territory performance, and capture market intelligence using CRM
- Develop account-based sales strategy to achieve sales growth across Cantata’s products and services.
- Prospect and develop high-margin customer accounts through relationship building sales techniques.
- Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholder personnel at selected target accounts.
- Prepare and present compelling sales pitch and participate in all sales activities.
- Coordinate and communicate sales activities and strategies effectively to leadership.
- Support market development and commercialization efforts for new products and new market initiatives.
- Support Marketing team during workshops, conventions, seminar series and other marketing activities as required.
- Maintain primary relationship with prospects during pre-sales, sales and post sales phases.
- Create and implement a business plan that satisfies goals as established by sales management.

**Position Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Scientific Field
- MUST: 5-7 years’ proven track record selling to academic accounts for life sciences product and/or services
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing territory plan to achieve significant account and revenue growth
- Strong negotiation skills, proven consultative sales experience and ability to persuade with scientific data.
- Demonstrated proactiveness in sales activities with strong “hunter” mentality.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Australia and New Zealand, mínimally 50% and up to 75%.

**Optional and added values**:

- Familiarity with the competitive landscape and trends in genomics, epigenetics, metagenomics, and applied markets.
- Prior sales experience in a highly technical field such as Next Generation Sequencing, pharma, molecular testing, epigenetics, metagenomics, applied science or chromatin architecture study.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

- Selling Life Science to academic accounts: 5 years (preferred)
