**Job Description**:
Sofitel Melbourne On Collins is seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our Guest Experience & Front Office team.

As a Receptionist you will be passionate about providing a luxurious experience for our guests at every touch point. You will take the time to listen to our guests and make them feel heard, and to do that you are genuinely fascinated by people, curious and an excellent story spotter. You will be responsible for providing professional and personalised service to all hotel guests, visitors, and ambassadors, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.

To be successful in this sought after position, you will have excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills, proven experience within a quality establishment, and above all else, pride yourself on ability to exceed both the guest expectations and hotel standards.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all hotel facilities and promotions
- Complete check in and check out procedures and adhere to hotel standards
- Maintain guest accounts and relevant information during their visit, ensuring charges are posted to the correct account
- Monitor group arrivals and communicating with the Housekeeping and Driveway teams to ensure smooth hotel operations
- Communicate with a diverse range of people in a professional manner
- Attend to guest’s requests quickly and efficiently, constantly striving to provide total customer satisfaction
- Achieve Loyalty Recruitment and Satisfaction KPI’s
- Cashiering and balancing of tills, maintaining cash security

**Qualifications**:
YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES WHICH HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE:

- Minimum of 6 months experience in hotels
- Be highly organised and able to effectively manage priorities
- Handle tasks carefully and correctly - be thorough and exact in details with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations
- Remain calm and effective in high volume work situations
- Be good team player; contribute to and assist co-workers without being asked
- Opera PMS experience
- A professional appearance and attitude that is reflective of our brand
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays
