Communities at Work's Lifestyle Programs (Seniors, Disability and Transport Services) deliver community support to seniors and people living with a disability in an environment characterised by trust and respect. **About the Role**

Communities at Work's provides centre-based disability programs to vulnerable people living with disability to achieve life skills as well as social and recreational experiences.

We are an inclusive and person-centred service where opportunities are provided for clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential in a respectful and safe environment.

The role requires an active and collaborative approach to risk assessment, supports development, planning and outcomes evaluation for new and existing clients who may have varying complexities of need.

The Disability Operations Coordinator will oversee service intake and delivery, rostering and allocations and will provide direct supervision and leadership to staff and volunteers in the disability programs. You will support the program manager in monitoring, reporting, and making improvements in these areas.?

Your role will require you to connect, liaise and communicate transparently with all program stakeholders, including staff and clients, to understand their needs in creating an environment that enhances learning and significantly improves the lives of vulnerable people in our community.

**Duties**
- Design and implement process improvement as required for the efficient and effective operation of the Disability programs.
- In conjunction with Senior Program Facilitator/s coordinate the delivery of services for centre programs
- Provide supervision, leadership and guidance to Senior Facilitators, Life Skill Educators, and volunteers.
- Participate in recruitment processes and staff interviews as required and undertake all aspects of program induction, and orientation.
- Monitor and evaluate client data, maintain appropriate records that include incident and restrictive practice reporting to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, practice standards and policies.
- Responsible for administration of program referrals, service agreements, NDIS booking allocations, NDIS Plan reports and reviews. This administration includes working collaboratively with the Finance team regarding payments/claims, early or late Plan Reviews and service suspensions.
- Undertake scheduled and unscheduled WHS checks and assessments of all sites and program vehicles to ensure a safe and healthy environment is maintained at all times.

**Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Demonstrated capacity to design and implement process improvements.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work directly with persons with disabilities using a best practice approach that is consistent with the National Standards for Disability, NDIS Quality Safeguards Commission -NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
- Teamwork with a focus on 'let's work together' to foster good working relationships with all stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a small diverse team in a busy environment.
- Commitment to continuing professional and personal development to ensure the provision of best practice services.
- Demonstrated effective communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- You are a problem solver and can deliver outcomes in a customer service/client centred environment
- Excellent administrative and time management skills, data management and the use of Microsoft Office
- Maintain current 'Working with Vulnerable People' registration
- Current driver's licence
- Relevant Tertiary and/or VET qualifications in disability and/or a minimum of three years' experience in the disability sector

**Desirable**
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
