We are seeking an interim
**Commercial Manager** who will be managing key supplier and vendor relationships within the IT department for a leading utilities organisation.
- Immediate start located in Melbourne CBD
- Approx $1000 a day
- 6 months with view to extend

As part of this role you will be responsible for the strategic, commercial, legal and financial outcomes of the business and ensuring key business objectives are successfully met. This will require you to actively facilitate governance meetings, develop governance frameworks, perform supplier reviews and review service values from contracts and vendors ensuring the best commercial advice.
- Play a key role in the development, establishment and growth of the IT Commercial and Vendor Performance management team with a focus on becoming a trusted adviser and business partner to the designated portfolio and core business units.
- Lead the contract variation and renewal process.
- Review, challenge and consolidate all inputs and ensure all internal stakeholders are consulted throughout the process including obtaining the appropriate approvals.
- Assist in the implementation of best practice governance of contracts and effective vendor management processes
- Drive key insights around vendor performance, contract analysis and opportunities for further value add to the business
- Assist in the development, lead implementation and management of appropriate strategies and processes to ensure relationships with key suppliers within portfolio deliver value add, innovation and value for money solutions
- Build cooperative relationships with IT and Business stakeholders.
- Establish robust engagement points and clear engagement models with key stakeholders in Legal, Finance and Procurement aligned to the team strategy.
- Identification and management of risks in contracts
- Assist in commercial and financial reporting
- Vendor performance review and reporting
