Alvarez & Marsal is a leading independent global professional services firm, specialising in providing turnaround management, performance improvement and corporate advisory services. With more than 7,500 professionals based in locations across North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, we have recently expanded to Australia with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic People & Culture coordinator to join our team in Sydney. This role will be part of a team of 3, working closely with the Senior Manager and Director to help build a new People & Culture function. This is a unique entry level opportunity to join our team from the beginning and contribute to the development of our processes, procedures and ways of working as we rapidly scale.

**Role responsibilities
- Facilitating a smooth onboarding experience for new joiners
- Contribute to all employee lifecycle activities (onboarding, training, annual performance review)
- Contribute to the preparation of HR related documents
- Proactive implementation of HR policies, procedures and programs
- Maintaining employment records

**What you'll bring
- Previous experience in a HR administration / coordinator role (within professional services e.g. big 4 desirable but not essential)
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related field
- Proficiency in the use of MS office, outlook and database management
- Be able to analyse data and prepare insights to inform decision making
- Ability to be agile and be able to manage competing priorities in a busy, high volume work environment
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Willingness to continuously acquire new competencies and accept new challenges.
- Ability to foster and maintain trusted relationships with colleagues
