**Job Description**:
Do you a have a true passion for hospitality and guest service? If yes, this is a fantastic opportunity to work as a Reservations Sales Agent and Hotel Operator at Novotel Melbourne South Wharf.

Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is a modern mid-scale brand hotel located in the busy South Wharf precinct, beside the Melbourne Conference and Events Centre and DFO shopping Centre. We offer discounted parking, discounted staff meals and provide uniform and laundering. Our hotel is easily accessible by public transport

What you will be doing
- Handle all incoming generic and reservations enquiries in a timely manner, taking particular care to highlight what the property offers for guests and maximising revenue at every opportunity
- Provide genuine, knowledgeable and friendly service to guests, visitors and colleagues
- Ensure all guest details are fully updated on PMS system and maintain accurate records
- Use your strong product knowledge to let guests know about the amenities and specials available at the Hotel and properties in the surrounding area
- Liaise with other departments as necessary to ensure relevant information is passed on so that we can provide great experiences for our guests

- You enjoy sharing information and helping people with questions
- Demonstrated experience delivering excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to set priorities and manage your time
- Flexibility to work across 7 days on a rotating roster including early morning, late evening, weekend and public holidays
- You must have full working rights in Australia to be considered for this position - we are not able to provide sponsorship for this role._

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 6 months experience in a similar reservations environment, or relevant customer service experience, preferably in a Hotel environment
- Competent knowledge of OPERA PMS is desirable but not essential
- Strong knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office
