Telco Technician/ Telco Rigger

**We are seeking an experienced Telecommunication Rigger & Telecommunication Technician to join our team.**

**Telecommunication Rigger**
**Role responsibilities**:

- Installing, testing and maintaining all types of telecommunications vendor equipment (e.g. Nokia and Ericsson equipment)
- Installing, commissioning and troubleshooting microwave radio equipment
- Climbing and working at heights safely
- Fault finding comprehension and resolution
- Ability to work with cranes and EWPs
- Upgrading and modifying existing wireless telecommunications sites.
- Test and commission all relevant equipment, including RF call testing.
- Read and interpret drawings, design documentation, product and client specifications.
- Ensure high quality workmanship while maintaining company standards, maintenance service reports, relevant safety and compliance documentation.
- Installation/Recovery of Panel Antennas, Head Frames, Hybrilflex Cables, Feeder Cables, Earthing, Cable Trays, Remote Radio Units;
- Proficient in PIM, VSWR and Sweep Testing; and

**Required experience**:

- 2 to 5 years Rigging experience within the Telecommunication industry;
- Telstra, Vodafone, Optus 3G/4G/5G experience will be highly regarded;
- Current Rigging/Dogging/EWP Tickets;
- Twin Rope Access certification highly desired;
- Current Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Ticket;
- Construction White Card;
- Police clearance;
- RF / EME Awareness
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Work at Heights Certificate - Must
- Australian Drivers Licence - C Class

**Type of work**: Full Time
**Rate**: $47 - $52 per hour base on experience

**Telecommunication Technician**
**Role responsibilities**:

- Install and maintain WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN technologies.
- Install radio base stations, terminating Hybriflex Cables and Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers, combiners.
- Upgrade or install DC power rack systems including rectifiers, batteries and load testing. Ability to configure and capture status for HOP's.
- Troubleshoot, replace defective equipment and monitor site performance
- Software installation, testing and commissioning of sites
- Installation, testing and commissioning of wireless network equipment.
- Order and procure the required equipment, materials and tools required for site installation.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, technical and design documents, method of procedures and other installation guides for the effective delivery of projects.
- Work well alongside the riggers and other team members to ensure that works are completed to the highest of standards.
- Able to locate faults in telecommunication equipment.
- Complete HOP documents

**Required experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Previous experience as a Telco Field Technician, with expertise in TPG/Optus /Telstra 5G and NBN Fixed Wireless systems.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications networks, equipment, and cabling.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering or a similar field.
- Ability to understand and implement RAN, RF, and Transmission designs.
- Installation of Ericsson/Nokia radio telecommunications equipment and cabling on NBN, Telstra, Optus or other mobile network operator’s sites/structure.
- Proven experience within a network rollout discipline.

**Type of work**: Full Time
**Rate**: $42 - $48 per hour base on experience
