Telecommunications Rigger

We are looking for a motivated individual looking at joining a local Telecommunications company. The role will be for a Skilled Rigger with proven experience in Telco Rigging.

About the role

The successful applicant will gain practical experience through on the job training and complete formal qualifications. Applicant must be able to pass Fit to Work & Climbing / Drug and Alcohol testing (This is conducted on a random basis throughout the employment term.)

Your role and learning experience will include, but not be limited to

Working at heights/rigging, and general work within the limits of your competency and qualifications, as required by the company

Checking, maintain and operating equipment in accordance with the requirements of safety, efficiency and calibration procedures

Swapping out and decommissioning mobile telecommunication sites.

Upgrading existing mobile telecommunications sites

Installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers

Participating in on-the-job training

Assisting with installations, moves, additions, changes, maintenance and repair support for customer telecommunications

WORKING AWAY FROM HOME IS A NECESSARY PART OF EMPLOYMENT.

Selection Criteria

Ability to work at heights (i.e. climbing up to 120 metres).

Strong literacy, numeracy and mechanical aptitude

Ability to communicate effectively with others

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and independently as required

Good attention to detail and be able to execute instructions within the team effectively

A reliable, punctual, with an honest work ethic

High level of safety awareness

WHS Construction White Card

Intermediate computer skills

Fitness level to pass employment medical assessment and fit to climb medical assessments
