HIA is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Brisbane team, providing expert guidance to Housing Industry Association (HIA) members nationally.

**The Role**

This role is a phone-based customer service position, which involves liaising with HIA members, and colleagues within HIA to provide a solution-based response to incoming enquiries. The nature of query involves provide general information and assistance to HIA members on regulatory, and industrial relation matters.

**Key responsibilities for this role include**:
The Contracts and Compliance Business Centre Officer will:

- provide accurate and timely advice to members on contracting and compliance issues,
- provide advice to members on industrial relations issues including rates of pay and modern awards,
- assists with the code of ethics matters, and
- respond to customer enquiries.

**The ideal applicant will have the qualities of**:

- Relevant industry experience in law/contracts or industrial/ employment/ human relations or be in the process of obtaining qualifications in any of these areas,
- An understanding of current industrial relations, workplace or contractual issues,
- Competent at working as part of a team as well as autonomously,
- Highly developed problem solving skills,
- High standard of customer service skills, and
- Ability to manage time effectively in order to prioritise competing workplace demands.
