**About us**
The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) commenced operations in 2013 as the national entity responsible for regulating all vehicles in Australia over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass. The NHVR minimises the compliance burden on the heavy vehicle transport industry, reduces duplication and inconsistences across state and territory borders, and ultimately for the heavy vehicle business with government in Australia.
Exciting Opportunity for a Contracts Officer. In this role you will provide essential support in maintaining contracts and supplier relationship information for NHVR. This role is responsible for assisting in contract administration activities and maintaining data integrity in the contract management system to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all contracts.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**
Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
- Management of contract lifecycle activities, including data entry, document management, and record-keeping in the contract management system.
- Support the implementation and rollout of the contract management system, including user training and ongoing system maintenance.
- Maintain contract management related training materials, resources and documentation, ensuring accuracy, relevance and accessibility for staff.
- Provide systems based training to support staff to understand the contract management system and related contract management forms, templates and procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of contract documentation, including contract terms, amendments, renewals, and related correspondence.
- Collaborate with the Contract Manager and other stakeholders to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in contract data and documentation.
- Support the Contract Manager in the resolution of contract disputes, discrepancies, and non-compliance issues by providing accurate and timely information.
- Participate in regular reviews of contracts to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the procurement team as needed, including assisting with vendor communications, correspondence, and documentation.
**About You**
- 3+ years’ experience as a contract administrator or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with contract management software/tools is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
