**About the role**

The Quality, Governance and Compliance Manager, is responsible for maintaining and implementing procedures to ensure Care I Wish operates in accordance with standards laid by the NDIS quality and safeguards commission, leading accreditation, reviewing policies and risk management for Care I Wish Pty Ltd. The position reports to the Director, has no direct reports and will be responsible for working very closely with HR Manager, Administration Manager, Finance Manager, General Manager - Operations and Services Delivery Managers.

**Qualifications & Knowledge/Experience**
- Experience working in audit or preparing for certification/ accreditation of a community services or healthcare organisation
- An understanding of quality management systems including continuous improvement, internal auditing practice and the ability to coordinate schedules
- An understanding (or ability to rapidly understand) the legislative and regulatory environment for disability support services
- Knowledge of the DHHS, NDIS and Quality and Safeguarding Framework would be an advantage
- Ability to collect and analysis data for reporting purposes.
- Experience with computer database system
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work to timeframes Behavioural Competencies
- Experience with using platforms such as Proda and RIDS to report the use of restrictive practices
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders, within operational structures
- Enthusiastic, strives for excellence and executes consistently in line with organisational goals
- Ability to approach change with positivity
- Communicates fully and openly and treats others with respect

**Key Responsibilities**

The Quality, Governance and Compliance Manager’s key responsibilities include:

- ensuring organisational policies and procedures are compliant with all current accreditations
- leading accreditation activities with external auditors
- undertaking and reporting on regular internal audits
- identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- developing and implementing process improvements in accordance with compliance requirements
- writing policies, procedures and reports as required
- undertaking risk assessments at an organisational level
- managing and maintaining Care I Wish’s relevant frameworks and registers
- ensuring procedures are in accordance with the current NDIS standards
- supporting activities relating to tendering opportunities, including developing the written submission and presentation to stakeholders
- project management as required

**About you**

To be considered for this rewarding role you must you MUST
- currently live in Australia
- have experience in accreditation for NDIS, Human Services Quality Framework, National Standards for Mental Health Services and Registered Training Organizations
- have a working knowledge of compliance requirements within the sector
- be available to travel from time to time
- have experience in writing policies, procedures and report
- have a proven track record, in a lead role, in successful accreditations
- be able to work within a cross-functional and multi-discipline team
- have persuasive written and excellent presentation skills
- have strong business acumen

**Eligibility Criteria**
- Proof of Right to work in Australia.
- National Police Check.
- Have Relevant Qualification
- Their own TFN number.
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Photo ID such as their driver licence
- NDIS screening check
