**About the Role**

Reporting to the General Manager Residential Aged Care and working collaboratively with the Directors Clinical Operations (DCO), you will be accountable for the monitoring and evaluation of clinical standards of care and service delivery, achievement of compliance in all accreditation outcomes and monitor the effectiveness of the Monash Health Quality Risk Management Systems.

Key responsibilities focus on delivering outcomes across four core areas:

- Quality and Safety for residents, clients and consumers.
- Risk Management and Governance
- Support accreditation compliance with Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and NDIS standards
- Drive Quality and Innovation across all domains or resident care and lifestyle.
- Provide advice and support across a range of aged services including Transition care and Home Care.

The role supports the work of the senior management team to monitor the standards of clinical care and service delivery. The Residential Services Manager Quality and compliance will engage and foster an environment of evidence based practice and will work with Managers and teams to embed a robust quality system through collaboration, continuous improvement and resident centred care across Residential Services.

**Your experience and expertise**

You will need to have experience in a similar role, in which you have demonstrated success in working within a compliance based aged care environment. Your achievements include successful accreditation and re accreditation of aged care services, knowledge and experience working within quality risk management frameworks. In addition you can demonstrate:

- knowledge of and experience in implementing governance frameworks
- experience driving compliance through data analysis and implementation of evidence based interventions to mitigate further incidents
- an understanding of aged care funding, and business rules
- understanding of relevant legislative, statutory, and industrial frameworks
- clear thinking and problem-solving capability, and proven ability to identify and implement creative solutions to complex problems
- an excellent knowledge of the changing environment of aged care and the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety
- strategic thinking capability combined with a “can do” approach

You are an excellent communicator, with highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage effectively across a wide range of stakeholders. The incumbent requires significant relevant nursing experience in aged care standards and quality, risk and compliance in the sector. You are likely to hold postgraduate qualifications in a relevant chosen field, or you are working towards attaining them.
