**Introduction**:
Safe Steps is the only 24/7, family violence response centre in Victoria, providing a “state-wide entry point” for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence. Services include information and referral, crisis response, specialist family violence risk assessment, safety planning, Webchat, and access to supported crisis accommodation.
Our vision is safety, support and respect for all victim-survivors of domestic and family violence.
Our practice is trauma-informed and guided by evidence. We provide services to all victim-survivors and recognise that most of our work is dedicated to the needs of women and children which reflects the gendered nature of domestic and family violence.
**Description**:
THE ROLE
We are looking for a full time Manager - Quality Risk & Compliance to join our growing team
The Manager of Quality, Risk and Compliance is a leadership role for the effective management of service quality, risks and compliance within Safe Steps, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and service. The incumbent will have day to day responsibility for the quality, risk and compliance activity including information sharing and privacy responses, incident reporting and management, accreditation readiness and continuous quality improvement. In doing so, this role will work across Safe Steps to foster a positive attitude to quality, risk, compliance and data quality.
**PAY LEVEL**: SCHADS Level 7 - $60.27 (depending on experience)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Risk Management
Play a leadership role in developing and/or augmenting the identification, management and reporting of practice and clinical risks that could impact our strategic and/or operational objectives
Ensure processes are in place to identify, manage and report on risk in line with Safe Steps Risk Management Framework
Manage RAMP referrals, including assessing cases against referral criteria and forwarding on to relevant Safe Steps Staff.
Incident and Quality management
Act as Administrator for our incident reporting system, Tickit. Coordinate Tickit actions and closure with relevant staff
Report on incident data through high quality reports for both internal distribution and external agencies
Ensure responsible roles conduct investigations/root cause analysis to understand the nature of incidents and identify opportunities to improve practice
Leadership
Participate in Government and Sector regulatory forums, advisory groups, and working groups, providing family violence risk and compliance advice.
Chair Safe Steps’ Child Safe Standards Working Group and LGBTIQ+ Working Group providing authoritative advice on compliance with the Child Safe Standards and Rainbow Tick.
Privacy & Information Sharing
Maintain a register of Privacy and Cyber breaches and report on these in line with legislative and policy requirements
**Skills and Experiences**:
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA - Essential
A relevant tertiary qualification or significant experience in the area of regulatory policy, quality and risk ideally in the health or human services sector or within Government.
At least 5 years experience within the Family Violence sector and/or Human services sector, with experience in supporting information sharing and quality risk management from a trauma informed perspective.
At least 5 years experience and working knowledge of enterprise risk management, privacy, information sharing, and legislative compliance with Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework, Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme, Child and Family Violence Information Sharing Schemes.
Demonstrated experience and/or working knowledge of best practice incident management and quality management
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality written and verbal reports to different audiences and in different formats
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders, particularly with Government and Regulatory Bodies.
