Our client is a Global Multi-National with Substantial Local Market Presence in the "Specialty Chemical Distribution Sector". This industry works with leading manufacturers and producers of both natural and synthetic functional/raw materials which essentially provide the catalysts for finished products for broader consumption across every industry sector.

As a result of strong organic growth and internal business moves (promotions) the business is now keen to secure either new or existing industry talent to fill this vacancy as Key Account Manager within their Personal Care Division.

Critically, what we are looking for are "Proven"
**OR** "Emerging" sales professionals
**OR** technical specialists who are passionate about building relationships and helping customers to solve their problems. Our focus will be your ability to demonstrate the right "Behaviours, Attributes & Attitudes" to be successful in a key sales role. This means you will naturally possess well developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, coupled with the ability to read and adapt to a diverse range of personalities which form the existing and new client base. It is your ability to be liked and demonstrate your value to clients (both potential and existing) which will determine your level of success.

Other key "Behaviours" sought is your ability to be pro-active in developing new business opportunities. This means identifying competitors to your existing client base to promote products to
**OR** identify new materials you can broadly promote across your industry sector and businesses within the industry supply chain. This means using your initiative to identify key staff at businesses you are targeting (e.g. Procurement, R&D, Technical, Marketing etc.) to secure appointments
**AND** leveraging new and existing customer relationships
**OR** your network by way of referrals to open doors.

Aside from these key behaviours, other selection criteria includes and is not limited to the following:

- Formal Qualifications in Science, Chemistry, Business or Related Fields of Study
- **Proven Commercial Experience in B2B Sales** - ideally within the sectors identified **OR** related industry expertise of at least 3 years, with the capacity to demonstrate strong selling and business development skills and behaviours
- Have successfully managed and exceeded budgeted expectations with an assigned portfolio in excess of $5M turnover OR Gross Margin Contribution in excess of $750,000. We expect you to be able to clearly articulate your actual vs budget results
- Have an amiable disposition that enables you to build effective working relationships at all levels with internal / external stakeholders
- Can demonstrate the ability to effectively manage difficult client situations (i.e. problem solve) and Maintain customer satisfaction
- Have the ability to work with clients and forecast demand to support operational and supply chain management initiatives
- Have a "Can-Do - Results Oriented" mindset to just get in and get the job done
- Are passionate about selling quality products which make a difference and with a strong business that will support/help you to succeed
