Job description:
The Role

This new full time permanent role ideally suited to a proven medical administrator, with excellent customer service experience, and strong people skills. In a complex human services organisation, ideally in health is preferred.

You will also possess excellent time management, be organised, and efficient, and have outstanding written and verbal communication expertise. You will be empathetic and compassionate towards the patients and the admin team, provide the highest level of care and understanding in all aspects of your role and focus on building relationships between various stakeholders of the business.

The opportunity is Part Time in our Wollongong suites, with the possibility to go Full Time and travel to our Gregory Hills suites for 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome our patient community with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Manage a busy phone line and be able to multi-task
- Provide professional and competent support to medical practitioners including management of the appointment book schedule, billings and reports as required
- Practice invoicing and receipting including liaising with Medicare and health funds and other agencies as required
- Collection of debt including monitoring and following up debtors
- Maintain knowledge of and a commitment to Quality Improvement and Risk Management
- Ensuring patient and practice confidentiality is maintained
- Support a team of reception and admin staff

Skills & Experience
- Preferred Minimum 1 year experience working in a medical clinic setting
- Strong customer focused skills with a high attention to detail
- A positive and proactive approach
- Proficient with computerised systems including medical specific software
- Knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule an advantage
- Able to multi-task with high attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills and highly developed people skills

about the business **Must have a drivers license and be able to drive to our Gregory Hill suites at times.**
