About the role
The Lead - Facilities supports the organisation to manage all property related repairs and maintenance carried out by the contracted third party facilities management organisation and other contractors external to this arrangement. This role will be pivotal in reviewing work requests to assess the scope of work, pricing and compliance to WHS requirements. This is critical in maintaining property budgets and where practical, reduce spend in order to meet the organisation’s operational strategy.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience in facilities management across both leasehold and freehold properties
- Working knowledge of Building Codes, Australian Standards and Regulatory requirements
- High level of professional experience, expertise and competence in property moves, fit outs and refurbishments.
- High level of communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish positive and constructive relationships with a diverse cross section of stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify issues, exercise initiative and judgement to suggest appropriate courses of action for achieving goals in complex project settings.
- Knowledge of charges associated with the delivery of trades to effectively assess quotes for work. This includes being familiar with the Rawlinson’s Australian Construction Handbook.
- Ability to work within a continuous improvement framework and enhance systems and procedures to strengthen organisational capability.
- Ability to regularly travel nationally as required to support the delivery of key property moves

An Australian drivers licence is a mandatory requirement of this role.

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 5. Competitive salary + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
