About the role
The Risk Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting with the continual improvement and management of all areas of risk across the project. We are looking for a data focused and IT savvy Risk Coordinator to join our Finance team based in Abbotsford.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertake risk management activities, including an assessment of operational risk and impacts in accordance with SPARK NEL D&C Risk Management Sub-Plan
- Provide technical risk advice to project staff in the review and development of risk assessments
- Review existing risk processes and provide recommendations for improvement
- Conduct reporting and analysis of the project risk profile in conjunction with the SPARK NEL D&C Risk Management Sub-Plan
- Manage the risk register.
- Oversee the actions assigned to operational divisions to help minimise risk exposure and SPARK NEL D&C Risk Management Sub-Plan KPIs
- Assist with the review and updating of documents and procedures
- Maintain risk databases in accordance with SPARK NEL D&C Risk Management Sub-Plan
- Be able to demonstrate a meaningful risk reduction glide-path over time
- Ensure all relevant staff at project level (i.e. Project Manager, Design Managers, Site Engineers) have a working knowledge of Projects Risk Management Process, understand the need for the required outputs during the project life cycle
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Prior experience conducting and facilitating enterprise risk assessments and hold a risk management certification
- Previous industry experience is preferred, as is familiarity with legislation and industry practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with all stakeholders
- A background in Risk, Finance, Engineering, Cost Control or IT
- Quantitative Risk Analysis and Monte Carlo Risk Analysis experience
- Previous experience using Active Risk Manager
- A passion for data analysis and artificial intelligence

**About Spark **North East** Link**
The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.
The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.
The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times
and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.
