Join this esteemed government department as a Risk Management Specialist and play a key role in enhancing our risk management system. As part of the Finance and Corporate Governance branch, you will contribute to planning and implementing risk management frameworks, policies, and risk appetite statements.

**The Opportunity**:

- Contribute to planning and implementing the risk management system, including policies and frameworks.
- Assist in developing tools, guides, and training to support teams in complying with the risk management system.
- Foster the evolution of cross-organisational risk registers with high-quality data.
- Deliver regular risk reports to the executive team and senior managers.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders involved in risk management.
- Support the activation and implementation of the issues and crisis management process.
- Contribute to strategy, innovation, and effectiveness in the Finance and Corporate Governance branch.
- Maintain a safe working environment and promote their values and goals.
- Adhere to the code of conduct, policies, guidelines, and risk assessment protocols.
- Other duties as requested.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in implementing risk policies and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of risk principles and concepts.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate optimal outcomes.
- Well-developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills for innovative solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with all levels of management, staff, and stakeholders.
- A strong team player with the ability to work autonomously or within a small team.
- Desirable: Previous experience in governance, risk, or compliance in the public sector.
