**About the School**:
Calamvale Community College is a large co-educational prep to Year 12 International Baccalaureate state school with 2500 students from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and over 60 languages spoken. The College has a catchment area limited to its local context and employs over 300 staff with an active Parents & Citizens Association and College Council, a Community Alliance of Businesses and two businesses supporting uniforms and College catering.
The College has a number of facilities including an auditorium seating 200 people with stage and accompanying facilities, 3 full-size basketball court facility with gym; outdoor netball and volleyball/futsal courts and three ovals; a number of these are co-operated with Brisbane City Council. There are over 100 classrooms, five playgrounds set on several hectares of property.
About the Role
The College is seeking an experienced business manager with expertise in small business with government knowledge advantageous to:

- Support the P&C in managing the two businesses (uniform and catering)
- Open an after-school hours care facility on site
- Manage the hire of College facilities
- Oversee the maintenance of College facilities

The position is equivalent to a Department of Education Business Manager at AO5 level although there are site specific expectations to be discussed with applicants, and the role will require out of school hours and weekend responses to emergencies.
The position will begin as a 6-month contract with extension to twelve months and possibility of permanency beyond that time.

**A mandatory requirement of this role is**:

- In accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 a person is prohibited from working in regulated child-related employment unless the person holds a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
