**The Role**
The APS 5 Conflict of Interest Officer will work as a team member within the Directorate of Integrity Policy and Industry Engagement, Defence Integrity Division.
You will work under the direction of an EL1 and will play a key role in:

- Supporting the management of Defence’s Conflict of Interest (COI) requirements by developing enabling products and processes to support policy.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Providing COI policy advice across Defence via the Defence Integrity Policy and Integrity Form inboxes/helpdesks. You will lead a small team responsible for a range of deliverables including.
- Ensuring COI forms remain in line with current policy.
- Reviewing submitted COI forms for completeness.
- Registering COI forms into the Defence Policing and Security Management System.
- Reporting on COI forms received.
- Facilitating the annual Senior Leadership Group Declaration of Interest process.
- Providing input to improvement activities; and
- Maintain COI intranet pages.

- You will have demonstrated experience in successfully leading a team at the APS 5 level.
- You will be accountable for setting work priorities, allocating work, providing advice and assistance on methods of task completion, managing workflows and performance and ensuring deadlines are met.
- You are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and demonstrate a high standard when it comes to attention to detail.
