**The Role**
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to industry and business development as a Project Support Officer in Defence. It’s an exciting environment where no two days are the same, but on a typical day as an (APS 5) Project Support Officer you will:
- Contribute to the preparation of timely and high quality reports and documentation relating to project management within Defence.
- Communicate with stakeholders to achieve project management outcomes.
- Contribute to the analysis of project performance against agreed plans and recommend solutions to achieve project outcomes.
**About our Team**
The Project Support Officer positions are located within the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Enterprise Task Force, within the Joint Capabilities Group (JCG).
The Australian Government is committed to the acceleration of the manufacturing of guided weapons in Australia. Working in the GWEO Taskforce is fast paced, exciting and directly supports Defence’s mission to defend Australia and its National Interests.
The multi-billion dollar GWEO program is a complex undertaking requiring consideration of many elements including research and development; test and evaluation; manufacturing; maintenance, repair, and overhaul; storage and distribution; disposal; and education and training. You will work in a diverse team of ADF, APS and Industry partners, analysing, designing and implementing innovative solutions to deliver Government's Guided Weapons production priority.
The team encourages flexible, hybrid working arrangements with the opportunity to work from home. Many of the team’s workforce mix their working week from both the office and at home. Generous leave entitlements, Christmas Stand-down Periods, development and training opportunities are on offer. There are multiple roles on offer, primarily in Canberra. The task force will continue to expand it's workforce and offer opportunities via merit pools in the coming months.
