**About the Role**
This is a temporary, 12-month parental leave opportunity. The Property Officer supports the effective delivery of Council’s services and functions through property services in accordance with our operational and statutory requirements.
You will be responsible for negotiating and delivering tenure agreements such as lease and licences while also ensuring Council’s statutory reporting requirements are satisfied. Additionally, you will assist with the administration of maintenance and inspection requests of Council tenanted properties and vacant land, while supporting the development of Council’s strategic planning documents and contributing to continuous improvements.
**About You**
Additionally, you will have an understanding of Native Title and Aboriginal Land Claims processes, as related to Council managed lands, with an ability to coordinate internal processes to respond as required.
You will be a strong communicator with well-developed written and oral communication skills, and ability to draft formal reports and contractual documentation. You are a productive team member and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enabling your ability to manage projects to achieve desired outcomes. Your experience managing and administering Property Management systems and in negotiation and/or facilitation of complex outcomes is desirable, however not essential.
**Benefits**
This is a temporary, full-time (12 months), role working 35 hours per week with a base salary ranging from $81,783 up to $90,779 per year based on demonstrated experience + 11.5% p.a. superannuation.
