**_ Long term role - immediate start_**

Based in Redbank, you will be part of dynamic, innovative and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions. As Mechanical Leadinghand you will be working to execute the ETCS L2 project. You will work closely with the ETCS Rollingstock Workshop Supervisor to ensure all Mechanical l work is undertaken to a high standard.

The key accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for leading the Mechanical fitters undertaking the physical construction activities.
- Responsible for planning Mechanical works for the fitment of the ETCS equipment on board Rollingstock
- Executing construction documentation and drawings and functional construction documentation
- Working with the team leads on compiling and updating Work Method Statements, Safe Work Method Statements
- Ensure safety compliance of team and promote a safety culture within the mechanical team and wider project team.
- Ensure construction compliance to the approved for construction design
- Support the interface with the Electrical installation team, Testing team and Engineering team to deliver the ETCS L2 project plan.
- Compile handover documentation between shifts
- Conduct QA inspections on ETCS Fitment works
- Plan, Support and Inspect Welding to be undertaken
- Support site leadership in a continuous improvement process
- Comply with all Heath Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.

**_ EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE_**
- Trade qualification in Boiler Maker.
- 5+ years trade experience after qulaification
- Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience working within a construction environment preferably but not essential with Rollingstock experience
- Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
