We now seek 2 suitably qualified individuals to contribute towards a shared vision of a Safer Melville where people want to live, work, and participate. As our Community Safety Service Officer, you’ll be responsible for
- Providing control and despatch support to Team Leaders managing the 1300 number inbound calls, and related outbound instructions.
- Undertaking proactive, intelligence led community patrol services including foot patrol and bicycle services where required.
- Attending to customer requests or incidents as required and dispatched by the Team Leader.
- When attending customer requests, using initiative to solve issues at all times ensuring personal safety and referring any significant problems/issues immediately to the Team Leader.
- Demonstrating behaviours that reflect the organisations values and supports cross functional teams and meets customer and organisational needs.
**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:
- Essential - Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Essential - Current Police Clearance.
- Essential - Security Officers license issued under the Security and Related Activities (Control) Act 1996.
- Essential - Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Essential - Certificate 2 in Security Operations.
- Previous experience in a related field
- Sound customer service skills, and effective communication skills - including report writing.
- Effective conflict resolution skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
